Vanity-bags - 'chanteh' in Persian - like this one, are now becoming harder to find. Such bags were utilitarian and often made as dowry pieces. Bags of this age, made around 1900, are scarce.
The bag is complete with knotted-pile face, original plain-weave back and long braided tassels.
Size: 30cm x 72cm (1' 0" x 2' 4") including tassels.
