Unusual and utterly charming! Simple trees of life are depicted on a natural camel-hair field and surrounded by a border of '8-pointed stars' - symbols of protection. Made by Baluch nomads in the Sistan region of south-eastern Persia circa 1900-1920, I haven't seen anything quite like this gorgeous little rug before!
