This charming little Qashqa'i rug is in excellent condition. I estimate this rug to be a fairly early type - possibly around 1860-1870 period. The colours are all vegetable and the rug contains some interesting images - a stylised woman in the left-middle field; stylised birds in the field and in the top-left spandrel and another stylised figure in the top left blue field.
A fine and very collectable rug of the Qashqa'i tribes.
