Description
A myriad of stars dominate this beautiful little Afshar rug, made in Kerman Province, southern Persia circa 1890. The rug is unusually small and is in near mint condition bar some tiny repairs to the top corners of the flatwoven skirt. Not properly seen in the photos, the inner lozenge stars are turquoise. This is a truly gorgeous little gem and has to be seen in the wool to be fully appreciated.
Size: 1.37m x 0.99m (4' 6" x 3' 3").
Viewing by appointment only.
