Item Ref

This charming little rug with its natural camel-hair ground, contains a design of small octagons and within each octagon, an 8-pointed star - a symbol of spirituality and protection.
The rug, which was made circa 1870 using symmetrically knotted pile, is an indication that the tribe of Baluch in this case, were the Bahluli. The rug retains its kilim ends and is in relatively good condition overall with some minor expert restoration on the sides.
