A most stunning and beautiful rug, made by Kurdish tribes in the environs of Bijar, during the third quarter 19th century. The glowing madder-red ground contains stylised flowers referred to as 'mina khani' and bordered by a pale, golden-yellow border comprising a flower and vine design.
In excellent condition.
