I guess I sound boring when I say how much I love all these wonderful weavings but the fact is, I do love them all and I only buy what I love! So I can say that I 'love' this magnificent kilim, woven by Luri tribes in western Persia at the end of the 19th century.The colours are quite beautiful - soft reds, blues and a stunning green surrounding a fabulous yellow central, three lozenge design. The yellow has a lovely abrash from a soft pale yellow to a slightly darker yellow, where the weaver has run out of one shade and continued with another shade.
A great kilim in excellent condition.
