Description

This stunning rug has a myriad of chickens all pecking at seeds on the ground! Made by the Baharlu tribe of the Khamseh Confederacy in south-west Persia around 1860-1870, this beautiful rug is in very good condition with little wear and a fabulous palette of saturated vegetable colours. The end panels are complete and the warps at the top end are braided and intact.
This is one of the best Baharlu rugs I've handled.
Size: 2.75m x 1.50m (9' x 5').
Viewing by appointment only.
Internal Ref: BM915
