Description
Amazingly fine weave with very thick, vegetable-dye, glossy pile, this truly nomadic rug was made by Kurdish nomads in eastern Anatolia in the 19th century. Although a little 'banana-shaped' - fairly typical of the looms used by these Kurds - the rug is archaic and charming in every way.
