Description

A myriad of chickens, peacocks, birds and animals fill the whole field of this incredibly detailed rug, made by the Baharlu tribe within the Khamseh Confederacy of south-west Persia circa 1870-1880. This fabulous rug needs to be hung on a wall like a painting, a chair directly in front of it and you, sitting on that chair - possibly for a year or two - identifying all the detail and creatures!
But please take a break now and again!! So clear a space on your wall and enjoy it!
I cannot say any more than just how amazing this rug really is.
Size: 2.14m x 1.34m (7' 0 " x 4' 5").
Viewing by appointment only.
Internal Ref: BM1803
