Description
This stunning carpet was made in the Feraghan region of north-west Persia circa 1870-1880.The indigo-blue field contains an overall design of stylised shrubs in beautiful natural colours. The main border is superb and powerfully-drawn with its cartouche motifs all the way round.
In very good overall condition.
Size: 4.40m x 2.80m (14' 6" x 9' 2").
