I absolutely agree with your comment on bags! In your recent description of salt bag BM4000 you said, and I quote: ‘The thing I love about antique salt-bags and bags in general, is the multiple weaving techniques in just one bag that you don't find in rugs. That is what makes them so interesting from a weaving point of view.’
The more I see, the more I appreciate how important and special small utilitarian weavings were in the lives of nomadic tribes. You have consistently found the most interesting, incredibly beautiful, often stunning and significant examples of namakdan and other small weavings of any dealer in the world. The range and quality are breathtaking! And somehow you keep doing it.Truly amazing!
