Description
This beautiful animal band was woven in warp-faced alternating float-weave by the Darrehshuri sub-tribe of the Qashqa'i Confederacy around 1900.
Possibly a camel decoration rather than for a horse, the band is in remarkable condition, complete with knotted-pile tufts along both edges, five tassels and braided hanging cords at each end.
A rare find these days.
