Description
This charming sofreh was originally used for kneading dough to make the delicious flat-bread or 'lavash' in Persian. Woven by Afshar nomads during the early 20th century, the sofreh is complete with original, braided tassels at each corner, each tassel containing blue beads.Sofrehs like this make stunning wall-hangings as it is important to preserve the beads, rather than using it on the floor where the beads are likey to be damaged.
